Qualifications Needed: Graduate of a recognized school of Nursing.
Active registration with the College and Association of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CARNA).
Demonstrated clinical competence, organizational, interpersonal, and oral/written communication skills.
Proven leadership ability to facilitate team building, change, and resource management.
Well developed analytical, judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Compassionate and caring attitude.
A genuine interest in working with the disabled elderly and chronically ill.
Continuing care experience an asset.
Basic computer skills and knowledge of MDS/RAI.
Description: Under the general direction of the Director of Care/Site Manager, the Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, coordinating, supervising, administering, and evaluating resident care.
Duties / Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse ensures resident care is managed with a focus on customer satisfaction and continual improvement. This position is responsible for ensuring resident safety, providing ongoing physical and psychological assessment of residents, documenting and reporting symptoms and changes in residents' conditions, and developing and implementing individualized care plans for residents based on input from the inter-disciplinary team.
